Therapeutic Gardening – Gardening to improve the Mind

We work with people with a wide range of long term mental health issues such as bi-polar disorder, schizophrenia, manic depression or psychosis.  We offer a safe, supportive and caring environment for you or someone you know, to develop confidence and transferrable skills so that you can live a fulfilling life as a part of the community.

What do you do during a therapeutic gardening session?

  • Depending on the time of year you could be planting bulbs, sowing seeds, harvesting vegetables, watering plants or building a structure within the nursery
  • The amount of gardening and what you do with this is based upon your needs and how much time you have
  • You’ll have someone to supervise you and help you settle into our sessions
  • You can even work towards a qualification, providing you with future work opportunities
