Lots of vegetable and flower seeds have been sowed by Mayfield Nurseries and the dedicated volunteering team, they will be looked after by residents and volunteers of the project.
All the germinated seeds/vegetable and flower plugs will then be planted out in the various community gardens cross the city for the residents to grow on, look after, water, pick and enjoy!
We have planted “early potatoes” Pentland Javelin Seed Potatoes are an all-round, diverse early new potato. Known for its good disease resistance, Pentland Javelin Seed Potatoes are perfect for general kitchen use. These have been planted across the city and will be harvested between June and July. Fingers crossed for a bumper crop for the residents of Southampton to enjoy.
